FTP ACCESS

Ftp (File Transfer Protocol) is a standard way of transferring files on the internet. It is a relatively easy process provided you have the right tools to accomplish your job.

If you are using a Mac, you will need software, such as Fetch, to transfer files to us. If you are using a PC you will need software such as WinFTP or similar (you do transfers using a built-in using a Windows 95 command-line utility called FTP, but it is a lot easier to use one of the above software programs - especially if you are transferring numerous files).

Once you have your software, follow the steps below.

1. Log into the Commercial Printers site.
2. Change to the commercial directory.
3. Upload any files you want us to have in the directory.
4. Give us a call to confirm that you have transferred files and if they have been received. If you have any problems transferring files to our FTP site, contact helpdesk@commercialprinters.ca and we will do our best to solve the problem.
